How to verify it yourself

If a text mentions your 811 account or a credit card, open the Kotak Mobile Banking app from the official store and look for the same notice there. Video KYC is started inside the bank's own app or website, which you type by hand, not through a forwarded link. Use the number printed on your card or welcome kit for any call back. A bill or closure threat that demands immediate payment over chat is a reason to pause and check.

Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
