Fake Hero FinCorp messages and links
Fake Hero FinCorp messages mention failed instalments, token payments and e-sign pages. Learn the checks before you act.
Hero FinCorp is an Indian non-banking finance company providing two-wheeler, personal, business and other loans. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be Hero FinCorp in SMS, WhatsApp and email messages. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.
Lines used in fake Hero FinCorp messages
- Hero FinCorp loan instalment failed, pay penalty through this link
- Two-wheeler loan offer ready, send a token amount to hold it
- Loan agreement needs e-sign, open the attached page now
- Your account will be reported unless dues are cleared today
How to verify it yourself
Two-wheeler loans usually go through the dealer and the lender's paperwork, so a stranger asking for a token amount on UPI is a mismatch. Instalments are collected from the account you registered, and the schedule is in your agreement and the lender's official app. An e-sign page should open from the lender's real website, which you can type yourself. Do not send Aadhaar pictures and selfies to a chat contact.
Quick checklist
- Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
- Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
- Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
- If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.
