Goibibo is an Indian booking platform where people reserve flights, hotels, bus tickets and train journeys from one app. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be Goibibo in SMS, WhatsApp and email messages. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.

How to verify it yourself
Check the booking inside the Goibibo app under your trips, and match its reference with the airline's, hotel's or bus operator's own site. Vouchers and goCash show in your account balance, so a link claiming they will expire is not needed. A refund comes to you; you never enter a UPI PIN or scan a QR to receive one. Reach support only through the contact options in the app or on the website you type by hand.

How can I tell if a Goibibo message is real?
Do not judge by the sender name or the logo; both can be copied. Open the official Goibibo app or type its website yourself and look for the same notice. Goibibo will not ask for your OTP, PIN or password in a message.
What should I do if I tapped a link in a fake Goibibo message?
Close the page without typing anything. If you entered details, change the password at once from the official app, call your bank or provider using the number on your card or bill, and report at cybercrime.gov.in. If money moved, call 1930.
