Telcos and ISPs

Bundle scam and device protection with your plans. The scam checks most relevant to operators — message, payment and phone-number checks — are built into the Android app (4.50) and run on the device.

[01]How it would work

Built on what exists today

  1. 01
    Offer the app to subscribers
Scam checks for messages, payment requests and phone numbers run on the phone, so they work without routing traffic through us.
  2. 02
    Provisioning, later
Activating protection from your billing system needs a provisioning API that does not exist yet.
  3. 03
    Network-level protection, later
DNS-level blocking and a shared scam-number reputation service are not built.

[02]Questions

What partners like you usually ask

Can you block scam calls on our network?

No. Nothing we have today operates in the network. The checks run on the subscriber's phone.

Do subscribers' messages reach you?

No. Text pasted into a scam check is analysed on the phone and never uploaded.
