Fake YouTube Premium messages and links
Fake YouTube Premium renewal failures, lifetime offers and free-month forms hunt for Google passwords. Check your subscriptions page.
YouTube Premium is Google's paid plan that removes ads on YouTube, allows background play and offline downloads, and includes YouTube Music. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be YouTube Premium in SMS, WhatsApp and email messages. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.
Lines used in fake YouTube Premium messages
- YouTube Premium: your family plan failed to renew, update card to keep access
- Lifetime YouTube Premium for Rs 199, order through this chat
- Your Google account will be suspended, review billing at this link
- Get three months free by entering your Google password on this form
How to verify it yourself
Look at your plan and renewal date in the YouTube app under your profile, or in your Google account's payments and subscriptions page, typed by hand. Genuine billing notices also show there. Premium is billed to your own Google account; a seller who offers a lifetime or very cheap plan usually uses stolen cards or invites you to a family group you do not control. Google never asks for your password or verification code on a call or a chat.
Quick checklist
- Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
- Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
- Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
- If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.
How Safeavio helps

Check it before you tap or pay
Safeavio Sentinel is a made-in-India Android app: paste a message or link, or scan a QR code, and get a plain verdict with the reasons. It helps you spot a scam; it does not promise to stop every one.

Questions
How can I tell if a YouTube Premium message is real?
Do not judge by the sender name or the logo; both can be copied. Open the official YouTube Premium app or type its website yourself and look for the same notice. YouTube Premium will not ask for your OTP, PIN or password in a message.
What should I do if I tapped a link in a fake YouTube Premium message?
Close the page without typing anything. If you entered details, change the password at once from the official app, call your bank or provider using the number on your card or bill, and report at cybercrime.gov.in. If money moved, call 1930.
