JioCinema is a Jio-run streaming app known for free live sports, film libraries and original series. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be JioCinema in SMS, WhatsApp and email messages. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.

How to verify it yourself
Check your subscription inside the JioCinema app and, if your plan is linked to a Jio connection, in the MyJio app, which lists your benefits. Free passes are not handed out after typing an OTP into a form, and an ad-free modded app is not an official release. Install the app only from your phone's official store. A code that arrives by text is yours alone, and nobody should ask you to scan a code to receive cashback.

Do not judge by the sender name or the logo; both can be copied. Open the official JioCinema app or type its website yourself and look for the same notice. JioCinema will not ask for your OTP, PIN or password in a message.
