Fake PM schemes (government benefits) messages and links

Fake PM Kisan KYC, free laptop and loan approval messages use scheme names to push APKs and fees. Learn the checks.

Central government schemes named after the Prime Minister cover farmer income support, housing, small loans and welfare benefits, paid into the beneficiary's own bank account. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be PM schemes (government benefits) in SMS, WhatsApp and email messages. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.

How to verify it yourself

Benefit schemes are applied for on the ministry's own portal or at a common service centre, and any money arrives directly in your bank account. No genuine scheme asks for a fee to release a benefit, an APK from WhatsApp, or an OTP. Type the ministry's website address yourself to read the scheme's eligibility, and ask the block office or gram panchayat if you are unsure. A forwarded list or link is not proof that you were selected.
