Fake IKEA India calls and apps

Callers claiming to be IKEA staff ask for OTPs, rescheduling fees and advances for furniture. Learn how to verify.

IKEA India sells furniture and home products through large stores and an online shop in selected cities. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be IKEA India on phone calls, in apps and on WhatsApp. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.

Lines used in fake IKEA India calls and apps

Caller says a voucher is ready and requests an OTP for activation
Fake delivery desk asks for a UPI payment to reschedule
Caller promises warehouse-price furniture after an advance transfer
Voice offers assembly service and wants payment before visiting

How to verify it yourself

Vouchers, delivery slots and assembly bookings are shown in your IKEA account or in the store where you bought. Delivery rescheduling can be done on the official site or app, with any charges listed there. Clearance deals are announced publicly by the company and bought through normal checkout, not through an individual's UPI ID. A refund returns to the original payment source and never needs your banking login, so refuse that request.

Quick checklist

Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.

Treat it as unverified. Hang up and contact IKEA India through its official app or the number printed on your card, bill or official website. Never install an app or share an OTP because a caller asked.

Can IKEA India ask me to install an app on a call?
