Tata 1mg is an Indian online service for ordering medicines, booking lab tests and consulting doctors, with health records kept in the app. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be Tata 1mg on phone calls, in apps and on WhatsApp. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.
Lines used in fake Tata 1mg calls and apps
- Caller says a doctor consultation was booked in your name and asks for payment to cancel
- Fake pharmacist says your medicine is banned and you must pay a penalty
- WhatsApp contact sells diabetes and heart medicines at huge discounts, advance only
- Caller claims your test report shows a serious illness and asks for money to arrange treatment
How to verify it yourself
Your Tata 1mg app lists medicine orders, lab bookings and reports, and they are the place to confirm any claim. Do not act on a health scare over the phone. Ask your own doctor, and open the app yourself instead of tapping a link. Medicine orders do not need an Aadhaar upload or a code read out to a caller. Use the contact option inside the app or on your order invoice for real help.

- Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
- Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
- Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
- If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.

Treat it as unverified. Hang up and contact Tata 1mg through its official app or the number printed on your card, bill or official website. Never install an app or share an OTP because a caller asked.
Can Tata 1mg ask me to install an app on a call?
Be very careful. Scammers use screen-sharing and fake apps to watch your screen and read OTPs. Install apps only from the official store listing that you find yourself, never from a link or a caller.
