Fake realme India calls and apps

Callers claiming to be realme staff push installation files, UPI bookings and OTP refunds. Learn how to verify safely.

realme India sells smartphones, earbuds and smart devices through its own online store and other retailers. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be realme India on phone calls, in apps and on WhatsApp. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.

Caller says redeemable coins need your card number for conversion
Fake executive pushes an installation file to check your warranty
Caller asks for a UPI payment to hold a flash-sale phone
Someone claims your order was cancelled and requests an OTP for refund

How to verify it yourself

Orders, coins and warranty are viewed in the official realme store or app, where an order either exists or does not. Flash sales are booked on the official store through normal checkout and not by UPI to an individual. Installation files outside the store do not belong in a warranty check. When an order is cancelled the refund returns to the original payment method without an OTP. Confirm everything inside your own account.

Quick checklist

Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.

Treat it as unverified. Hang up and contact realme India through its official app or the number printed on your card, bill or official website. Never install an app or share an OTP because a caller asked.

Can realme India ask me to install an app on a call?

Be very careful. Scammers use screen-sharing and fake apps to watch your screen and read OTPs. Install apps only from the official store listing that you find yourself, never from a link or a caller.
