Calls and WhatsApp chats using JioMart's name for early OTP requests, refund links and free grocery chains. Learn how to verify.

JioMart is an Indian online grocery and shopping service from Reliance, delivering from nearby stores and warehouses. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be JioMart on phone calls, in apps and on WhatsApp. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.

Lines used in fake JioMart calls and apps

Caller says the delivery boy is outside and asks for an OTP before he arrives
Fake support offers a refund for missing items and sends a collect request
WhatsApp message promises free groceries for sharing a link with 20 contacts
Caller says your Jio account is flagged for bulk orders and asks for a verification payment

How to verify it yourself

The JioMart app shows your active orders, the delivery slot and refund status. Read there first. A delivery OTP is given to the person who hands over the shopping, and only when the order is actually in your hands. Never share it earlier on a call. Type jiomart.com in the browser yourself. For a missing item, use the help option on the order page or the contact printed on your bill.

Quick checklist

Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.

Treat it as unverified. Hang up and contact JioMart through its official app or the number printed on your card, bill or official website. Never install an app or share an OTP because a caller asked.

Can JioMart ask me to install an app on a call?

Be very careful. Scammers use screen-sharing and fake apps to watch your screen and read OTPs. Install apps only from the official store listing that you find yourself, never from a link or a caller.
