Nykaa is an Indian online and in-store seller of beauty, personal care and fashion products, with a Prive rewards tier for frequent buyers. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be Nykaa on phone calls, in apps and on WhatsApp. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.

Lines used in fake Nykaa calls and apps

Caller says a cosmetics order was placed with your card and wants a code to stop it
Fake support offers a refund for a damaged product and asks you to install a helper app
WhatsApp number sells branded makeup far below the usual price, payment in advance
Caller promises a brand-ambassador role and asks for a joining fee

How to verify it yourself

Look at your Nykaa app account for order status, refund progress and reward points. If a damaged-item claim is genuine, it can be raised from the order page, with no need for a bank login from you. Visit the official website by typing it into the browser. Free kits that ask for a courier fee, and refunds that ask for a card number or code, are the usual traps. Stay in the app for anything involving money.

Quick checklist

Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.
