How to verify it yourself
Use the official HSBC India app from the store you trust, or type the bank's website address by hand. Overseas transfers are shown on your statement and handled with the bank's relationship team you know. A fraud team does not stay on the phone to move your money. The number on the back of your card or on your statement is the safe way to reach the bank. Never share a security code, even for a 'new device'.

How can I tell if a HSBC India message is real?
Do not judge by the sender name or the logo; both can be copied. Open the official HSBC India app or type its website yourself and look for the same notice. HSBC India will not ask for your OTP, PIN or password in a message.
What should I do if I tapped a link in a fake HSBC India message?
Close the page without typing anything. If you entered details, change the password at once from the official app, call your bank or provider using the number on your card or bill, and report at cybercrime.gov.in. If money moved, call 1930.
