Sanchar Saathi

Sanchar Saathi is the Department of Telecommunications portal to check SIMs in your name, block lost phones and report fraud calls.

Sanchar Saathi: Sanchar Saathi is a Department of Telecommunications service for mobile users. It lets you check how many connections are registered in your name, report numbers you do not use, block a lost or stolen phone, and report suspected fraud calls, messages and WhatsApp numbers.

Fraudsters sometimes take SIM cards using other people's documents, and the owner learns about it much later. The portal helps you see which connections are in your name, so you can report ones you do not recognise. It also helps people block a lost phone by its IMEI number so it is harder to use. Report even if you did nothing wrong, since it protects you from later trouble.

Reporting through the Chakshu facility sends suspected fraud contacts to the telecom authorities for review. It is a public tool, so reporting can help others too. Use only the official government website that you type yourself. Do not follow links from messages saying you must verify your number through Sanchar Saathi. It does not replace your bank's or police help after a money loss.
