Fake PhysicsWallah messages and links

Fake PW scholarship, batch renewal and free-book messages ask students for small fees and APK installs. Check the app.

PhysicsWallah, often called PW, is an Indian education company known for affordable JEE and NEET preparation online and in centres. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be PhysicsWallah in SMS, WhatsApp and email messages. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.

Lines used in fake PhysicsWallah messages

PW scholarship cleared, pay Rs 500 to get a free batch seat
Your PW batch is expiring, renew with an offer on this link
Free PW books delivered to you, pay a shipping charge
PW app update needed, install the file from this message

How to verify it yourself

Look at your batch, validity and purchases inside the PW app, and use the fee details on its official website typed by hand. A free scholarship batch is claimed inside the app after a real test, not by paying a stranger. Centre admissions are completed at the centre or on the website with the written fee receipt. Install updates from your store only, and take any lecture or book offer to the in-app help, since pirated copies and sellers on chats are unreliable.

Quick checklist

Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.

How Safeavio helps

Paste the message or the link into Safeavio Sentinel (or share it to the app) and it shows a plain verdict with the reasons: urgency, a money demand, a lookalike address or an OTP request. It checks the text you give it and cannot promise to catch every scam.

Check it before you tap or pay

Safeavio Sentinel is a made-in-India Android app: paste a message or link, or scan a QR code, and get a plain verdict with the reasons. It helps you spot a scam; it does not promise to stop every one.
