How to verify it yourself

Your policy number, premium due date and maturity details are in your policy bond, your premium receipts and the official LIC website that you type by hand. Premiums are paid to LIC through its own portals or a branch, not to a personal UPI ID. A maturity or bonus never needs a tax payment from you in advance. Visit your servicing branch with the policy document if a caller disagrees with what you see there.
