Fake HDFC Life messages and links
HDFC Life premium-debit failures, bonus claims and lapse notices appear in scam texts. See how they read and what to check.
A private life insurer offering term, savings and pension plans. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be HDFC Life in SMS, WhatsApp and email messages. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.
Lines used in fake HDFC Life messages
- Your HDFC Life premium could not be debited, pay now to keep cover
- HDFC Life bonus is awaiting, send your PAN to claim
- HDFC Life policy renewal discount ends tonight, pay using this link
- HDFC Life term plan lapse notice, revive by sharing your card details
How to verify it yourself
Check premium status in the policy documents, the official HDFC Life app from the store, or the company website that you type in yourself. Revival rules for a lapsed plan are in your policy terms, so ask the servicing desk named in your papers. Mis-selling compensation is not offered through a fee paid to a caller. A nominee change needs written forms and identity proof, not just a code. Do not share card details to revive cover.
Quick checklist
- Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
- Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
- Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
- If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.
How Safeavio helps

Check it before you tap or pay
Safeavio Sentinel is a made-in-India Android app: paste a message or link, or scan a QR code, and get a plain verdict with the reasons. It helps you spot a scam; it does not promise to stop every one.

Questions
How can I tell if a HDFC Life message is real?
Do not judge by the sender name or the logo; both can be copied. Open the official HDFC Life app or type its website yourself and look for the same notice. HDFC Life will not ask for your OTP, PIN or password in a message.
What should I do if I tapped a link in a fake HDFC Life message?
Close the page without typing anything. If you entered details, change the password at once from the official app, call your bank or provider using the number on your card or bill, and report at cybercrime.gov.in. If money moved, call 1930.
