Fake Star Health and Allied Insurance messages and links
Messages using the Star Health name push fake renewal discounts, rejected cashless requests and bonus withdrawals. Here is how to verify them.
A standalone health insurer selling family floater, senior citizen and personal accident plans, with cashless treatment at network hospitals. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be Star Health and Allied Insurance in SMS, WhatsApp and email messages. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.
Lines used in fake Star Health and Allied Insurance messages
- Star Health cashless request rejected, resend your card details to reopen it
- Star Health renewal discount of 40 percent expires tonight, pay on this page
- Star Health no-claim bonus is ready, tap to withdraw to your account
- Star Health hospital bill reimbursement pending, upload cheque photo for transfer
How to verify it yourself
Cashless approvals and claim status are visible in the official Star Health app or on the website you type yourself, so check there before you reply to anyone. If a relative is in hospital, speak to the insurance desk inside that hospital and use the helpline number printed on the policy card. Renewal quotes are never limited to one night, and a claim is paid to the bank account registered with the insurer, not to a number someone gives you.
Quick checklist
- Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
- Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
- Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
- If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.
