How it looks over the phone, the red flags and what to do.
On a call the pressure is live: no time to read, no time to check, and a rule that you must not tell anyone. TRAI SIM Block in 24 Hours Call Scam is one of the ways this shows up: A call claims to be the telecom regulator and says your SIM will be blocked in two hours for illegal use, then hands you to a fake police officer.
What trai sim block in 24 hours call scam looks like over the phone
- A calm, official voice that already knows your name or the last digits of your card.
- Being told to stay on the line and not to tell your family.
- Instructions to install a screen-sharing app or to press keys on the phone.
The scammer dials random numbers using automated systems. The recorded message mentions complaints, a count of illegal messages or abusive calls, and a deadline. Pressing a key connects you to a live person who gives an official sounding name and a badge number. They quote your phone number back to you, which feels like proof they have your records.

Safeavio Sentinel's scam check reads a message or notes you paste and points out fake authority, a short deadline and a demand to move money. The Money Shield checklist helps you pause and verify before paying, and a family code word helps confirm that a real relative is on the line. Safeavio does not block calls by itself and cannot tell whether a caller is real, so hang up and check through official channels.
