DigiLocker: DigiLocker is a government service that stores digital copies of official documents such as Aadhaar, driving licence, PAN and school certificates. Documents issued through it are legally valid when shared. You can open it using your mobile number and a secure sign-in.

DigiLocker is handy for travel, job applications and bank forms. Instead of carrying paper, you share a document directly from the official service with a one-time consent. Some banks and employers fetch the document straight from DigiLocker, which lowers the chance of forged copies and removes the need to email photos. Using a verified source also saves time at offices.

Fake DigiLocker links and look-alike apps do exist, and scammers pretend to be a government desk asking you to download documents. Install the official app only from your phone's official store and type the site address yourself. Do not give your OTP or security PIN to anyone who calls you for DigiLocker help. It is better to open the app yourself than follow a link.
