A fintech brand known for a card and app aimed at younger people, with UPI payments, spending trackers and a small-amount credit line. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be slice in SMS, WhatsApp and email messages. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.

How to verify it yourself
Card activity, limits and dues show in the official slice app, so open it to see whether anything unusual really happened. A block request for a card is made from within the app or through the number on the back of the card, and the CVV stays with you. Limit increases do not require a fee. If a recovery claim worries you, check the amount in the app first and ask in-app support. Student offers do not come with Aadhaar photos taken over a call.

- Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".

How can I tell if a slice message is real?
Do not judge by the sender name or the logo; both can be copied. Open the official slice app or type its website yourself and look for the same notice. slice will not ask for your OTP, PIN or password in a message.
What should I do if I tapped a link in a fake slice message?
Close the page without typing anything. If you entered details, change the password at once from the official app, call your bank or provider using the number on your card or bill, and report at cybercrime.gov.in. If money moved, call 1930.
