Decathlon India is a sports goods retailer with large stores and an online shop for sportswear and equipment. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be Decathlon India on phone calls, in apps and on WhatsApp. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.

How to verify it yourself

Gift cards are issued by the retailer, so check a card's balance on the official site or in a store with the code you hold. A card you never bought or won in a known contest should be treated as unreal. Limited stock does not demand an advance to a person's UPI ID. Exchanges are handled through the order page or at a store, and loyalty benefits are received without scanning any QR, which only sends money out.

Quick checklist

Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.
