Fake Amazon Shipping messages and links
Fake Amazon Shipping texts mention missed deliveries, hub holds and customs duty. See how to trace parcels in your own orders.
Amazon Shipping is Amazon's delivery and logistics service, used for Amazon orders and by sellers for parcels. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be Amazon Shipping in SMS, WhatsApp and email messages. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.
Lines used in fake Amazon Shipping messages
- Amazon Shipping could not deliver, confirm your address and pay a fee
- Parcel waiting at hub, schedule delivery at this link
- Customs duty due on your Amazon package, pay now
- Delivery agent job with Amazon Shipping, pay a training deposit
How to verify it yourself
Look under Your Orders in the Amazon app or website that you open yourself, where tracking and delivery attempts are shown. Delivery fees for your own orders are not collected through a random link. A package is not tied to a police case through a courier call, and police do not hold anyone on video call. The delivery code is meant for the person at your door. Job roles are listed officially and need no deposit to a personal account.
Quick checklist
- Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
- Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
- Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
- If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.
How Safeavio helps
Paste the message or the link into Safeavio Sentinel (or share it to the app) and it shows a plain verdict with the reasons: urgency, a money demand, a lookalike address or an OTP request. It checks the text you give it and cannot promise to catch every scam.
Check it before you tap or pay
Safeavio Sentinel is a made-in-India Android app: paste a message or link, or scan a QR code, and get a plain verdict with the reasons. It helps you spot a scam; it does not promise to stop every one.
