On WhatsApp the scammer can send images, voice notes, PDFs and APK files, and a friendly profile photo makes the first message feel safe. Fake E-Commerce HR WhatsApp Job Scam is one of the ways this shows up: A 'recruiter' from a known shopping or tech brand messages you on WhatsApp with an easy job, then asks you to pay for products or an account.

What fake e-commerce hr whatsapp job scam looks like on WhatsApp

• A group invite promising returns, jobs or prizes.
• A PDF, APK or image that must be opened to "see the details".
• A link that pretends to be a wa.me, courier or bank page.

The scammer uses stolen logos and a profile photo of a smiling professional. The message arrives out of the blue, often saying your profile was shortlisted. Within a few messages they move you to a second app and a group. A 'training video' explains the job in simple steps and shows other people receiving payments. A small first payment may really be sent.

Red flags to check on the WhatsApp message

• A recruiter messages you first on WhatsApp.
• The pay is very high for rating or reviews.
• You are asked to buy products yourself to unlock payment.
• A refund with bonus is promised after verification.
• You are added to a group full of people praising profits.
• The sender moves you quickly to Telegram or to a second app.

What to do

1. Do not buy anything or pay to unlock a job payout.
2. Check the brand's official careers page typed by hand for any real opening.
3. Block and report the number in WhatsApp.
4. Warn the group or family, and report the number on Sanchar Saathi if it is a scam call or message.
5. Do not click links or open files. Do not send money or codes.
6. Open the chat, tap the contact name and choose Block and report.

If money or a code is already gone

1. Call 1930 quickly with the payment details.
2. Tell your bank through the number on your card so it can try to hold the transfer.
3. File a complaint on cybercrime.gov.in with chats, receipts and the page address.
4. Do not make more purchases to recover earlier ones.
