Fake Max Life Insurance calls and apps
Calls, apps and WhatsApp chats posing as Max Life Insurance advisors: revival fees, bonus offers and nominee changes, and how to check them.
A private life insurer whose customers hold term cover, savings plans, unit-linked plans and pension plans, and pay premiums yearly or monthly. Because many people use it, scammers pretend to be Max Life Insurance on phone calls, in apps and on WhatsApp. This page lists the lies they usually tell and how to check before you act.
Lines used in fake Max Life Insurance calls and apps
- An advisor says your Max Life Insurance savings plan has matured and asks for a small release fee
- A caller offers to revive a lapsed Max Life Insurance policy if you pay on a link he sends
- A WhatsApp number shares an app called Max Life Insurance Rewards to claim a bonus
- A person posing as a policy servicing officer asks you to read out the code sent for a nominee change
How to verify it yourself
Open the Max Life Insurance customer app that you installed from the Play Store, or type the insurer's website into the browser yourself, and look up the policy there. The premium due date, fund value and nominee are shown in your own login. For a phone conversation, use the customer care number printed on your policy bond or premium receipt. A genuine maturity or bonus is paid into the bank account already on file, so nobody has to ask you for a fee first.
Quick checklist
- Do not tap links or call numbers inside the message.
- Open the official app, or type the official website yourself, and look for the same notice.
- Never share an OTP, PIN, CVV or password with anyone, including "staff".
- If money moved, call 1930 and your bank at once.
How Safeavio helps
Safeavio Sentinel's phone scan lists apps outside a store, risky permissions and settings such as unknown sources, and the Money Shield checklist slows you down before you send money. It cannot stop a call, but it helps you spot a fake app afterwards.
Check it before you tap or pay
Safeavio Sentinel is a made-in-India Android app: paste a message or link, or scan a QR code, and get a plain verdict with the reasons. It helps you spot a scam; it does not promise to stop every one.

Questions
A caller says they are from Max Life Insurance. Is it real?
Treat it as unverified. Hang up and contact Max Life Insurance through its official app or the number printed on your card, bill or official website. Never install an app or share an OTP because a caller asked.
Can Max Life Insurance ask me to install an app on a call?
Be very careful. Scammers use screen-sharing and fake apps to watch your screen and read OTPs. Install apps only from the official store listing that you find yourself, never from a link or a caller.
