Wrong Transfer Return My Money Scam by SMS
How it looks by SMS, the red flags and what to do.
On SMS the scammer has only a few lines to work with, so they use a deadline, a threat or a prize and a link that must be tapped "now". Wrong Transfer Return My Money Scam is one of the ways this shows up: A stranger really does send you money, then claims it was a mistake and uses pressure and fake complaints to get you to send it back.

- A shortened or oddly spelled link that does not match the real website.
- A request to call a number, install an app or share an OTP.
- Several near-identical messages arriving together from different senders.
The scammer deposits a small or large amount into your account using a hacked or stolen source. The credit looks real and shows in your history.
