Learn the pattern behind them.
What high monthly return ponzi app scam looks like on WhatsApp
- A message from an unknown number, often with a stock photo of a smiling person.
- A friend or relative asking for urgent money from a new number or a hacked account.
- A group invite promising returns, jobs or prizes.
The scammer builds an app with attractive plans and a referral reward. They pay early depositors on time to create stories of success, and ask them to invite friends and family in return for a commission. Advertising is done through groups, videos and short messages. The name of the app often changes, and a copy appears when the first one is blocked.
Red flags to check on the WhatsApp message

- Referral rewards pay you for bringing others.
- The business is described vaguely or as 'rental'.
- Limited-time plans create urgency.
- A new number says it is someone you know and asks for money; call the real person on the old number first.
- You are added to a group full of people praising profits.
What to do
- Do not invest in an app that promises fixed high returns.
- Withdraw what you can only if it is genuinely allowed, and stop adding more.
- Do not invite friends or family.
- If it was a "friend", call them on the number you already have and ask.
- Turn on two-step verification in WhatsApp settings so a stolen SMS code is not enough.
- Warn the group or family, and report the number on Sanchar Saathi if it is a scam call or message.
Inside WhatsApp use Block and report; for numbers that call or text you, the Sanchar Saathi portal (Chakshu facility) also takes complaints.

Safeavio Sentinel's scam check reads an app's pitch you paste and flags a fixed daily return, referral rewards and limited-time urgency. The phone scan reviews installed apps, requested permissions and apps from outside a store, which can reveal risky investment apps. Money Shield gives a checklist before you pay. It cannot judge an app's finances or recover deposits, so check the regulator's list before investing.
