Fake Lottery and KBC Prize Message on WhatsApp
How it looks on WhatsApp, the red flags and what to do.
WhatsApp is private and fast, which scammers like: a "wrong number" chat can turn into a task, an investment tip or a payment request within minutes. Fake Lottery and KBC Prize Message is one of the ways this shows up: You are told you won a huge lottery or a quiz-show prize and must pay a tax or processing fee first. No prize exists; only the fee is real.

- A link that pretends to be a wa.me, courier or bank page.
- A message from an unknown number, often with a stock photo of a smiling person.
- A friend or relative asking for urgent money from a new number or a hacked account.
The scammer sends the message to bulk lists, and the claim mentions a famous show, a mobile company or an online shopping festival. A named 'manager' asks you to reply and to keep the news secret from outsiders so that nobody 'steals' the prize. People usually feel excited and rarely question a contest they did not enter.
